Will need subsequent PRs fixing up test failures (due to deprecated
methods moving around), but other than that everything should be
straight-forward.

Introduced a regression, since the old code was:
```
predicate is_a_string_type(ClassObject seqtype) {
seqtype = theBytesType() and major_version() = 2
or
seqtype = theUnicodeType()
}
```
but *now* we're good!
