Taus	1fb4f9d208	yeast: Move schema and YAML loader into yeast-schema crate ... For type checking rules, we need to be able to load schemas (so we know what to check against). However, since we can't have yeast-macros depending on yeast (where the schema-handling code currently lives) as this would introduce a circular dependency, we instead split the schema-related code into its own yeast-schema crate.	2026-07-09 11:39:30 +00:00

YEAST (YEAST Elaborates Abstract Syntax Trees) is a framework for transforming tree-sitter parse trees before CodeQL extraction. Core components: - shared/yeast/ — Ast, Node, Schema, query matching engine, captures, FreshScope, BuildCtx - shared/yeast-macros/ — proc macros: query!, tree!, trees!, rule! The query language is inspired by tree-sitter queries: (assignment left: (_) @lhs right: (_) @rhs) Templates support embedded Rust ({expr}), splicing ({..expr}), computed literals (#{expr}), and fresh identifiers ($name). The rule! macro combines query and transform: rule!((for pattern: (_) @pat ...) => (call receiver: {val} ...))
